TRADITIONAL SUMMER CAMP
ONE & TWO WEEK PROGRAMS FOR AGES 7-12

Looking for summer camps in Oklahoma?  Returning campers will tell you that YMCA CAMP CLASSEN was the best part of their summer. You’ll hear about the time they spent exploring camp with their cabin mates and trying out all the different program areas in camp.  You’ll hear about their friendly competition between the Pathfinders and the Trailblazers with meal time cheers and special events. And then you’ll hear more about the friends they've made and how they couldn't wait to come back.  YMCA CAMP CLASSEN is where new friends are made and new skills are developed.

ELECTIVES

In addition to the awesome fundamentals of main camp (water, horseback, canoeing, crafts etc...), our campers choose a specialized camp elective to appeal to their special interests. They may choose to develop skills in one of the following choices:

MIC CHECK
Do you like skits, musicals and flash mobs?  If you like the stage, comedy and performance sign up for "Mic Check"!  This is a great opportunity to bring out your creative side and perform for your fellow campers and counselors.

CREATION STATION
This is the opportunity for camper’s creativity to explode! Campers have many choices to craft a keepsake to bring home. Beads, painting, lanyards, and tye dye are some of the options.

‚ÄčHORSESHOE CLUB
Want to do more than trail riding with horses? The horseshoe club is designed to advance your camper’s skills on the ground, in the arena, and on the trail. Popularity has limited space and advanced registration is required. $ Horseshoe Club requires an additional fee of $100 per week.  Sign up early for this.  Space is limited.

TARGET SPORTS
Build skills and competency in Archery, BB Guns, Blow Guns and more.  Campers have the opportunity to build their own marshmallow gun to bring home.  Don't worry mom, it is all safe and supervised by our trained staff!

AQUATICS
Would your camper grow gills if they could? When they choose aquatics, they choose a whole lot more time on the lake – developing swimming skills, boating skills, on the water slide, funyaks, canoes, 100’ water slide, and maybe even tackle the “Bass Rock” endurance swim

OWLS (Outdoor Wilderness Living Skills)
Does your child love watching survival shows? Campers choosing OWLS will find themselves building forts / shelters, making fires, orienteering, geocaching and designing their own trekking sticks.

TEAM SPORTS
Some campers can’t get enough action on the field. This is the elective for high energy fun. We pack in sports from around the world that combine new games, with traditional sports and camp classics.

WHAT CAMPERS ARE SAYING?

“The best part about camp this year was that I learned to swim and tie my shoes!  My counselors are the best!!

“The best part is that you can be the real you and the staff will still love you.  This is the bet camp ever.”

“I learned that I can be myself and that I don’t have to wear certain clothes, put on makeup or act a certain way to be loved.

I felt like I was part of a group instead of a loner.  I love it here so much.  This is a very special place to me.”

“You don’t sit around all day and watch TV or play video games.  I didn't know how much fun it is to be outside!

“What I love at CAMP CLASSEN is you can meet new friends, you can play fun games and you can be yourself.”

WHAT OUR CAMPER PARENTS ARE SAYING?

“Fantastic camp, my girls haven’t stopped singing the songs they learned or talking about the things they did! A wonderful experience that I know they’ll never forget. Thanks

“Don't change anything! Our son loves Camp Classen!”

Camp exceeded my expectations. I only sent one child due to the cost and due to concern that my second child would becalling on day 2 wanting to come home so it would be wasted money. However after seeing how camp is run, I am confident he would stay, in fact, if I can figure out how to afford to send him and there is an open spot, I'll be sending him to a session this summer that is not yet full.”

The kids felt happy, safe and secure the entire time. Can't ask for more than that.”

“My son loves his counselors. He always tears up when he has to say goodbye.”

My kids talked about their experiences non-stop for over an hour of the ride home. They have already requested that we start a camp fund so they can go again next year.  The kids enjoyed the experience and that's ultimately what it's all about. Great Job Camp Classen!”
