2010 Summer Day Camp
The adventure begins June 1st!
Our Vision . . .
The YMCA is dedicated to providing safe and exciting day camps where children can develop self-discipline, positive self-image and leadership skills. Children actively participate in a wide variety of interests, both indoor and out, while under the watchful eye of well-trained staff.
New for 2010 . . .
Traditional day camp this year is divided into four smaller camps, allowing your child to experience all the uniqueness of camp while making strong connections with other children and staff. All camps are accredited through the American Camping Association.
- Explorer Camp, Ages 5-6
- Voyager Camp, Ages 7-8
- Camp Safari, Ages 9-10
- Camp Quest, Ages 11-13
Some camp events will combine more than one camp together, such as specialty weeks, swim time, lunch and field trips. This gives siblings and friends in other camps the opportunity to interact during the day while maintaining age-appropriate activities.
All camps will spend time both indoors and outdoors. Each themed week includes arts and crafts, games, swimming, outdoor education and a field trip. Camp also features several specialty weeks in which your child chooses an area of interest to focus on.
Enrollment begins February 20 for YMCA members and 2009 Campers!
General Enrollment begins February 27!
