TOGETHERHOOD® is the YMCA's Signature Program for Social Responsibility.

The YMCA OF GREATER OKLAHOMA CITY was chosen as one of the first Ys in the country to help launch TOGETHERHOOD®, a member led community service program. With TOGETHERHOOD®, we invite Y members to activate their social responsibility by providing them with fun, convenient and rewarding ways to give back and support their neighbors. Through TOGETHERHOOD®, members lead and participate in volunteer service projects that benefit the community where they live.
The program is run through individual Y branches as a partnership between a committee of members and a Y staff advisor. It is designed to be a simple, fun and rewarding way for members to identify ways that they can give back and support their neighbors through their own ideas, skills and energy with the support of the Y. LitterBlitz
On Sunday April 12, 2015 the Earlywine Park YMCA teamed up with OKC Beautiful for LitterBlitz. We had about 40 volunteers from local schools, churches and our youth membership.
Together we collected over 20 trash bags! We had kids participate in their first volunteer experience, volunteers on scooters and friends looking for something fun to do together. It was a very successful event and I want to say thank you to all of those who came out to help make our park more beautiful!
