SilverSneakers class is more than just a class, it is a culture. Come enjoy a class filled with relationships, laughs and exercises. Our SilverSneakers class is for active older adults to have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement and activities for daily living using light hand weights and tubing. A chair is available, if needed, for support.
Join us for open swim and lap swim every day, at a variety of times for you and your family to enjoy. Swim lessons and swim team are offered year-round. Water Aerobics classes are held Monday – Friday. Celebrate your birthdays with a private pool party room and access to our pool. Cool off in the summer at the Ripper Park Aquatic Center, where parties are also available. Contact the front desk for current schedules.
Adaptive Swim Lessons
At the Y, we have been teaching people how to swim for more than a century. Our adaptive swim lesson program is designed for children with physical, mental, and developmental special needs. Participants will work on becoming acclimated and developing independent assisted movement in the water. Participants will also learn water safety skills and pool rules.
For Your Children
We offer year-round Youth Sports, Child Watch, After School Care, School’s Day Out Care and Summer Day Camp.
ChildWatch is a household member benefit that allows childcare for up to two hours while parents or guardians exercise. We also allow non-members, or day pass users, to use ChildWatch if space is available.
Our School Day out Care and Summer Day Camp provides all day childcare while kids are out of school.
We offer year-round youth sports, where kids improve their skills, make new friends and learn sportsmanship. Our sports programs provide children with opportunities to learn specific skills in a supportive environment. They are conducted with an emphasis on positive personal growth and we balance the development of physical skills with other important aspects of sports including leadership, teamwork and cooperation.
Sports include: YMCA Thunder Basketball, soccer, track and field, volleyball, T-ball, cross country and flag football.
It can be hard to figure out your place in this world. As a young person with your whole life ahead of you, having the right guidance and support can make a real difference in figuring out who you are and what you can achieve. In the YMCA’s Teen Leaders Club, students in the 6th – 12th grade experience community, belonging, achievement and service learning in a safe and creative environment.
A variety of Group Exercise classes are offered in the mornings and evenings throughout the week. We love to challenge members to reach a new fitness level. Beginner to advance classes are available. Check out our class schedule.
