Our 2020 Impact:
We opened our doors wider to provide Emergency Childcare to healthcare workers, first- responders and other essential personnel. We relieved stress and provided a safe place for 499 kids of essential workers
during the early months of the pandemic.
As the pandemic lingered and the seasons changed, we transitioned the Emergency Childcare program to our traditional Summer Day Camp. More than 1,280 campers
were able to unplug and enjoy their summer while in our care.
In the first semester of the 2020-2021 school year, 2,058 kids
attended our YMCA E-Camp and Community Hope Center sites. More than 4,840 school-aged kids
checked into our Ys 33,251 times
during typical school hours.
During the year, the Y served 92,132 meals and snacks
. We distributed 17,205 pounds of food
to 312 families
through weekend bag giveaways.
Despite having to cancel our spring season, we were able to provide 7,531
kids a safe and fun youth sports experience through 11 different sports throughout the summer, fall and winter.
Through one-on-one personal training, 348 individuals
invested in their best life, gaining strength, health and confidence.
More than 24,459 military members and their families
enjoyed a relaxing environment at the Military Welcome Center located at Will Rogers World Airport while traveling.
In the face of an unprecedented year, 3,833 YMCA volunteers
showed up in full force, spending a collective 76,294 hours
giving back to our community in 2020.
Health in spirit, mind and body became even more important to our community. We had 61,206 members check in
to our facilities to continue their health journey.
