What are MEPs & Zones?
Effort over Ability
Effort is different for all of us. When we work out, we should be rewarded for what we put in. That is why MyZone invented MyZone Effort Points (MEPs) MEPs are tailored to how hard your heart is working; not to your fitness level. This device will calculate your maximum heart rate (MHR) from the moment you start training. If your MHR changes over time, the MZ-Switch will update automatically to guarantee your data stays personal to you.
Get in the Zone
During your workout, you will reach different zones based on your heart rate. Each zone is worth a different number of MEPs. The harder you work, the more you earn. Instant feedback tells you when to ease off or step up as you enter each zone. Each of the five zones represent a percentage of your MHR. This is calculated specifically to you when you start training.

The grey, blue and green zones are best-suited to warm ups, low intensity movements, meditation, flow exercises, strength/conditioning work and cool downs. These zones are also vital to determining your ability to recover during more intense workouts.
