This league has an emphasis on the development and understanding of the game of flag football.

UNIFORM

Each participant is required to wear a green and gray YMCA reversible jersey.

KEY SEASON

INFORMATION

  • The league is designed for kids 5-12. 
  • Officials will be more lenient and assist in teaching rules during the game. 
  • The spring season consists of 8 games. 
  • This league is co-ed. 
  • Age groups may be combined depending on registration numbers. 
GAMES & PRACTICES
  • Practices will begin after spring break, the week of March 24. Coaches will decide the time, location and day of the week for practices. They will provide this information to the team. 
  • Game schedules will be posted March 14. 
  • Games begin the weekend of March 28. The season will go through May 10. 
  • Games will be played on Saturdays. 
  • There are no games or practices on Good Friday (April 18) or Easter (April 20). However, games will be scheduled as usual on Saturday, April 19.

  • There may be times when practices or game sites are unavailable due to school calendars. Your local YMCA sports department will communicate these dates.
