We share the grief and outrage felt by the country in the wake of George Floyd’s death and the subsequent events. Our prayers and commitment are with Mr. Floyd’s family, friends and community, as well as those hurting in our home state, and we stand with others in saying, “We must do better.”
Tragedies like this remind us all of our responsibility to fight against racism, inequities and disparities; to champion efforts that protect human dignity and call us to appreciate our shared journey as friends, neighbors and fellow citizens. Let us not remain silent in our words or actions as we work to create a more equitable community where we can ALL learn, grow and thrive.
For a Better Us.
