The YMCA is proud to introduce the YMCA Esports League.

The YMCA will offer Esports Leagues during the Fall, Winter, Spring, and Summer Sports Seasons.

Games will consist of NBA 2K, Fortnite, Smash Bros., Rocket League, and more.  Participants will be responsible for additional licensing fees for each game selected.

Esports will be available for youth ages 7-17.

The YMCA National Esports Pilot is a 100% Virtual Program played from participants home.  The league meets 2 nights per week and includes a curriculum night using NASEF material.

The YMCA of Greater Oklahoma City Esports League will be played on Saturday at the University of Central Oklahoma CO-OP Gaming Arena in Edmond or at Oklahoma City University Starcade in OKC.

The Y-USA Esports League is a 100% virtual program, played from your home.

Participants will be responsible for their own consoles, games, and internet access.

Platforms include PC, Xbox One, Playstation 4, and Nintendo Switch.

Games for the Fall League include NBA 2K, Rocket League, and Smash Bros.

Monday Night will consist of a 1 hour practice (30 min YMCA Staff led using NASEF Curriculum & 30-60 min scrimmage)

Wednesday Night will be Game Night playing against other YMCA participants across the Central Time Zone.

The time is 530pm to 7pm on Monday and Wednesday Night.

Participants will receive a YMCA Esports Jersey and End of Season Medal.

Building on their successful partnership, Oklahoma YMCAs and the Oklahoma City Thunder are taking things off the hardwood and onto the screen with the launch of the YMCA Thunder 2K Basketball League.

The league is available for youth ages 7 to 17 years and participants will compete against each other in a supervised setting.

League play is September 18 through November 13 and includes eight games, an end of season tournament and a YMCA Thunder 2K Basketball League jersey.

In person competition will happen primarily on gaming PC’s.   Anyone playing in person on a PC will need a Steam account with a NBA2K21 license on their Steam account.  There will be a limited number of PS4 and Xbox One spaces available for in person gameplay.

In person gaming will take place on Saturdays between 9a-2p.  Specific Game Schedules will be released 9/13/2021.

Participants will have the choice to play at the UCO CO-OP Gaming Arena in Edmond or OCU Starcade in OKC.

Rules may be modified based on registration numbers.

Format: 1v1
