When her first class as a swim instructor at the Bethany YMCA was predominately Spanish speaking, Ryleigh Rushing refused to let a language barrier stop her from making a connection with her students. She found creative ways to teach water safety, celebrating every small breakthrough along the way. Y GIVES Ryleigh’s students inclusivity and Safety Around Water. Y GIVES Ryleigh the confidence to continue making an impact through our aquatics programs.
