YMCA of Greater Oklahoma City

Financial Assistance

The Y is a community building organization for all. Our financial assistance program ensures anyone can participate in Y programs, despite the inability to pay the full program or membership fees.

We use a sliding fee scale based on total household income and the number of household members. We require supporting documentation to verify household income, and we consider special circumstances when providing assistance. Each applicant’s approval is based on income and the number of people in the household. We understand your financial records may not contain the entire picture of your financial needs. Please include any and all information you feel is applicable to your current situation.

If you believe you may qualify, please reach out to your local Y. You will be asked to submit income verification documents.

Proof of Income

Acceptable documents to verify household income include:

Please make sure that the documentation you provide as proof of income is the most up-to-date available.

OTHER FINANCIAL RESOURCES

The OK ABLE Program

The OK ABLE Program empowers individuals with disabilities to build financial security without risking eligibility for crucial benefits like SSI and Medicaid. It offers tax-deferred growth on savings. Earnings are tax-free as long as they are used for qualified disability expenses, such as housing, health, assistive technology, education, legal expenses, transportation, and more. Contributions to Oklahoma ABLE accounts are eligible for a state income tax deduction of up to $20,000 per year for joint filers and $10,000 for single filers. Learn more at www.okstable.org.

OK 529 College Savings Plan

The OK 529 College Savings Plan is a tax-advantaged program that helps families in Oklahoma save for higher education while offering a state income tax deduction of up to $10,000 for single filers or $20,000 for joint filers. Contributions grow tax-free, and the funds can be used for qualified education expenses such as tuition, fees, books, room and board, and even K-12 tuition. The plan provides flexibility, allowing funds to be used at colleges, universities, vocational schools, and even some international institutions. Learn more at www.Oklahoma529.com
