Teen Job Training
Teens, are you ready to get a job? The Y’s Teen Job Training will prepare 14-16 year olds for the basics of applying, interviewing, and working at your first job.
This course will cover personal development skills such as communicating with customers, working with your boss and coworkers, employability skills and certification in CPR and First Aid.
Each student will receive a Y Teen Job Training Certificate to put on their resume and present to potential employers and a 2-year CPR and First Aid certification.
Cost: $100/person
Teens ages 14-15 will be eligible to apply at the YMCA of Greater Oklahoma City upon course completion. Complete the course and apply for any of the below roles!
- Jr. Camp Counselor
- Child Watch staff member
- Sports Official
A job at the Y is not guaranteed. Work for the YMCA of Greater Oklahoma City for 30+ days, you will get reimbursed for this $100 course!
Classes are held on Saturdays at our Association Office from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Registration opens: Sep. 25, 2024
Last day to register is: Oct. 30, 2024
Participants are required to complete online e-learning, estimated to take around 5 hours, prior to attending teen job training.
