The Edward L. Gaylord Downtown YMCA offers programs for all ages. From personal training to youth sports and year-round swim lessons, there’s something for everyone to get involved in.
Kids who play sports at the Y develop more than just athletic skills training. Our programs empower young athletes to embrace an active lifestyle while honing teamwork skills, learning resilience in the face of challenges, and boosting their sense of self-confidence.

Sara Robinson-Holmes is the district executive director for the Downtown District YMCAs. She has a passion for promoting healthy living and community engagement. With a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and a Master of Science in Health Promotion from the University of Central Oklahoma, Sara combines her academic background with hands-on experience to make a meaningful impact for the Downtown community.
Serving as our healthy living team chair, Sara leads initiatives that inspire individuals and families to embrace healthier lifestyles. She is committed to fostering a supportive and inclusive environment for all YMCA community and wellness programs and strives to make fitness and wellness accessible to everyone. She believes that every small step towards a healthier lifestyle counts and is committed to supporting individuals in their wellness journeys.
Sara’s Y: The Y is about engagement and strengthening community ties. I work to empower individuals to take charge of their health and well-being, and the Y is a place where everyone can come to reach their goals.
