Linda Sanabria Roberts
Certified Pilates Instructor
Linda entered the fitness field 36 years ago after receiving her Bachelors & Masters in Physical Education. She then began working for the Cleveland County Family YMCA as their 1st Fitness Coordinator. Once she was introduced to Pilates, she never looked back. She fell in love with the mind/body connection as well as the ability to sensibly teach clients how to take care of their body while moving.
Training & Certifications
Linda specializes in therapeutic movement including joint discomfort, postural deviations, osteoarthritis, osteoporosis, bulging discs, balance disorders, total hip, knees & shoulders, fall prevention, golf fitness, return to sports, pre/post natal, chronic pain, geriatrics & acute pain disorders. Linda is also a Personal Trainer for those who just want to progress their level of fitness with longevity in mind.
Kim Jackson
Certified Pilates Instructor
Kim has been practicing Pilates on mat & equipment since 2003. She became certified to teach in 2008. She started her personal Pilates practice as a result of an overuse injury & postural imbalances. Having personally experienced the healing benefits of the Pilates method, Kim is inspired to help clients of all ages & physical abilities learn more about their body, increase awareness of proper posture/alignment, improve imbalances in their bodies & correct inefficient movement patterns. She believes Pilates is an essential & proven mind/body practice that will consistently improve an individual’s ability to move and function in every aspect of life.
Training and Certifications
Kim is certified in Pilates Mat & Equipment, Pilates Pelvic Floor Fitness, Pilates Anatomy in 3 Dimensions/Anatomy of Breathing & Core-Align Level 1. She has participated in hundreds of hours of continuing education through Balanced Body & completed specialized training to work with clients who have scoliosis and osteoporosis. In 2021 she completed her certification as a Balanced Body Integrated Movement Specialist.
Virginia Geurkink
Certified Pilates Instructor
Virginia is a well-rounded instructor with over 30 years of practice & instruction in the fitness field. She started teaching fitness classes in college & began working for the YMCA in 1988. She is one of the founding Pilates Fitness Center Instructors. She initially began her personal Pilates practice with a desire to gain range of motion & flexibility following bilateral hip replacements. Virginia loves working with clients of all ages & fitness levels. She truly believes that Pilates is for “every body” & desires for each client to move to the best of their ability.
Training & Certifications
Virginia is certified through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) as a Personal Trainer, a Corrective Exercise Specialist & a Fitness Nutrition Specialist. She is a National Certified Pilates Teacher through the National Pilates Certification Program. She is certified to teach mat, reformer, exo-chair, trapeze table, Core Align Level 1 & Anatomy in 3 Dimensions. She’s received specialized training in osteoporosis, scoliosis & balance. Virginia is a member of the Pilates Method Alliance
Kathy Blum
Certified Pilates Instructor
Kathy was first introduced to Pilates by her Physical Therapist after experiencing a dance injury. She immediately began turning her new passion for Pilates into a career. In 1979 she received a B.S. in Education & combined it with her love of Pilates to become a Certified Pilates Instructor. In 2010-2011 she received her mat and equipment certifications from the Physical Mind Institute Studio out of New York. Kathy is one of the founding instructors of Pilates Fitness Center. She looks forward to many more years of instructing & continuing her education to better herself & provide her clients with the latest Pilates techniques & trends.

Kathy is certified in Mat Pilates, Equipment Pilates, CoreAlign I, CoreAlign II, CoreAlign III, the Male Client, Posture Analysis, Golf Pilates & hip & knee Pilates.
Hailey Wilson
Certified Pilates Instructor
Hailey found Pilates through her desire to improve her scoliosis. In doing so, she found that Pilates is not just good for the spine but the mind & spirit as well.
Training and Certifications
Hailey is a Certified Pilates Instructor through Pilates Sports Center in mat, reformer, eco chair & trapeze table. She specializes in scoliosis training with Scolio-Pilates workshops.
Cierra Smejkal
Certified Pilates Instructor
Cierra comes to Pilates Fitness Center with a wealth of knowledge & experience. She is available Tuesdays & Thursdays for both private & group classes.
Leigh Mahoney
Certified Pilates Instructor
Leigh has been a Certified Pilates Mat Instructor at the Cleveland County Family YMCA since 2005. She is also a Certified Personal Trainer, a Certified Land Fitness Instructor a certified Aquatic Fitness Instructor and the YMCA. Leigh completed her Pilates certification in reformer, trapeze, ladder barrel & chair-based Pilates equipment in 2020.
Kristen Cheng
Certified Pilates Instructor
Kristen joins the PFC staff as a first-class graduate of the Teacher Training program!
Kristen has a special passion for clients working through life-altering health events. She finds that her unique experience as a burn survivor informs her Pilates approach & fuels her passion to encourage her clients towards a fully integrated health & wellness recovery.
Kristen started as a client at PFC after a torn ACL & abdominal surgery in 2017. Her experience at PFC as a client has been life-changing. She is thrilled to join the teaching staff to share the gift of “returning to life” through Pilates
