Pilates Fitness Center is a therapeutic Pilates studio & healthy living program of the Norman YMCA. No other Pilates studio in Norman can match the expertise & experience of our certified instructors. All of our Certified Pilates Instructors are therapeutically trained and we offer a safe environment for those who want to enhance their fitness level without injury. We also take care of those with physical conditions requiring special protocols.

The Philosophy

The Principles

The principles of Pilates can dramatically transform the way your body looks, feels & performs. The Pilates method teaches increased body awareness, good posture, builds strength, enhances flexibility & improves balance. Even joint & muscle aches can be alleviated.

By developing proper technique, your body can be retrained to move in safe, more efficient patterns of motion which are invaluable for injury recovery, sports performance, good posture & optimal health. 

As you become more aware of your body’s alignment & movement, the principles learned in Pilates will enhance every aspect of your life: from performing chores around the house to workplace duties to competing in a sport!

You will need to attend our New Client sessions. After completing these sessions, your instructor will help you design an appropriate program based on your goals, fitness level & budget!

SESSIONS & PRICING

NEW CLIENTS

First time clients
$ 180 includes 3 sessions

EQUIPMENT GROUP SESSONS

SPECIALTY SESSIONS

A variety of Challenge Sessions and Therapeutic Sessions are held throughout the year. These sessions are generally held for a 4-6 week period and are paid in full upfront. Challenge Sessions include: Pilates for Athletes, Barre, Yoga, Pre/Post Natal Pilates, All About the Core, and HIIT Pilates/Clean Eating.

EQUIPMENT

The Cadillac

The Cadillac combines the features of a reformer & trapeze table in one. It is clinical height and accessible to individuals with limitations. It features spring-based tension using a series of straps, foot loops, metal & wooden bars. While it differs from the Reformer in that you are on a stable surface/mat, the Cadillac is equally as challenging & can reveal imbalances in the body that need to be addressed for optimal performance.

Allegro 2 Reformers/Towers

The Allegro 2 Reformer/Tower is probably the most well-known piece of Pilates equipment. It includes a rolling carriage with springs that can be set at varying levels of resistance to challenge or provide assistance & support in training core stability and balance.

Exo-Chairs

This challenging piece of equipment is the Exo-Chair. The Pilates Exo-Chair is small but mighty in its function and versatility. Like all Pilates equipment, the spring-bed tension offers a strength challenge or support depending on the client’s capabilities.

Balls, Mats & Weights

Even our “non-equipment” sessions use basic Pilates equipment featured in all Pilates therapy. Our balls, mats & weights are top of the line.

POLICIES

  • Pilates Fitness Center requires 24-hour cancellation of appointments. Failure to provide adequate notice will result in your being charged for the class.

  • Equipment & Non-Equipment Group Sessions have a 2-month expiration from the date of purchase.

  • All pricing listed is per person.

  • If you are scheduled for Semi-Private sessions and the other clients do not show up for the session, you will be responsible for paying for the class in full.

  • Private single sessions are the only sessions available for 30 minutes.

  • All sessions are 50 minutes unless indicated otherwise.

  • Auto Renew Policies: You can cancel or suspend auto-renewal with a written 30-day notice. If you are traveling for an extended period of time or are on medical leave, auto renewed passes can be extended with the same written notice.

All YMCA of Greater Oklahoma City locations will be closed on Monday, September 2 in observance of Labor Day. 24/7 access will remain available at locations where the service is offered. Work out with us anytime with YMCA360.
