YMCA of Greater Oklahoma City

Since 1968, the Edmond community has found a place to connect at the Rankin YMCA. With a robust school-age childcare program, youth sports, summer day camp, swim team, Silver Sneakers and more, the Rankin Y is a cornerstone of community. The building is no longer adequate to meet the needs of our members and our growing population. Today, we have the opportunity to re-imagine the YMCA in Edmond, growing to serve both today’s families as well as generations to come.

The YMCA is working with the City of Edmond and the Metropolitan Library System to create a new presence for the YMCA in our community. With expanded childcare spaces, modern fitness facilities and an open floor plan, our new Y will offer a place for all ages and abilities to find a sense of community and belonging, while transforming their health and total wellness. In addition, we have the unique experience of serving alongside the Metropolitan Library System through shared spaces and enhanced programming for youth in our care. We are honored to collaborate with our partners to be good stewards of space and resources.

Construction for this new Y will begin in 2024. The floor plan will include a fully functional YMCA, shared lobby, multigenerational space and a full-size library in one of the fastest growing areas of Edmond and the metro area. Together, we are building stronger communities and families in Edmond for generations to come.
